Norway is a mecca for whitewater paddlers from all over the world. Alongside the mountains, Trolls and Vikings, the Fjordlands are home to some of the most varied river terrain on the planet. The Sjoa region brings it all together in one boiling pot of whitewater classics, where you can paddle wide and powerful river sections alongside technical steep creeks. 

 

What's more, it's not just for pro's! The Sjoa region boasts an incredible array of rivers at a class 3-4 level, so you can have an awe-inspiring week's kayaking even if you're not the next Sam Sutton. On this course we'll cover techniques for advanced river kayaking in a progressive package that will allow you to push yourself gradually as your skill and confidence grows. As with all our courses, you'll receive cutting edge coaching and individualised feedback to help you achieve your personal whitewater goals!

Who's this trip for?

As a minimum skill level for this trip you should be confident and adaptable on class 3 whitewater, and in a position to take up rapids that challenge you throughout this course. You should have a working whitewater roll. If you are not sure if this description fits you, why not talk to us about it? 

 

What's included in the price

- A comfortable stay in fully-catered chalet style accommodation. 

- Professional guiding and coaching from an experienced and qualified member of staff with a maximum coach:client ratio of 1:4.

- Digital copies of the best photos from the trip.

- 7 nights accommodation.

 

What's not included in the price

-Alcoholic beverages

-Transport. If not driving out, we recommend you team up with other participants to hire a vehicle. This can be done at relatively low cost from Oslo airport.

-Boat hire or equipment use (please contact us if you require anything). Norwegian and Ryanair are both reliable carriers tried and tested for transporting kayaks for a not unreasonable fee. 
Flights. Please ensure your outgoing flight lands in Oslo Airport (Gardermoen) no later than 2pm on the arrival day, and that your returning flight departs no earlier than 2pm on the departure day.
