Example Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival.
We'll meet you at the airport and take you to your accommodation. Get settled in. You might wish to sleep off the jet-lag, or explore the bustling city of Kathmandhu. We'll meet you for dinner and formal welcome in the evening.
Day 2 - Culturual day.
We understand that kayaking isn't just about the whitewater, but the places it takes you. That's why today we'll be exploring some of the older parts of the city. We'll head to Swayambunath to see the monkeys, then to Patan or Kathmandu Durbar square to see the amazing architecture these areas have to offer. We'll meet again for dinner and brief for the coming days.
Day 3 - Lower Marsyangdi
We'll transfer to a beautiful beach camp, set up for us by our in country partners on the banks of the beautiful Marsyangdi river. This will be our home for the next two nights.
This afternoon we will get on the water for a skills workshop and safety training to prepare us for the rest of the trip.
Day 4 - Lower Marsyangdi
Today will be spent receiving coaching sessions on some of the many beautiful rapids of the Marsyangdi, with a lunch break back at the beach camp before we head up stream for another lap! We will have time to prepare for the following day, when we'll head off on our first overnight expedition.
Day 5 - Seti Khola.
This is the perfect river to get into the swing of things here in Nepal and experience some larger volume.
The rapids give us an ideal classroom to learn the skills of paddling on this type of whitewater. We'll camp out under the stars with our dinner cooked by a team of amazing Nepali river gurus!
Day 6 - Seti Khola.
After our beach camp breakfast we'll pack up and hit the river for another day of coaching and guiding on the water. The rapids getting progressively more difficult, but only hard enough for us to put into practice more of the tactics and techniques we'll be teaching you.
From the river, we'll head to Pokhara where we can settle in to our accomodation and grab a cold beer!
Day 7 - Pokhara sight seeing
With many people still suffering jet lag at this point, we don't want to overload you, so we'll explore some more of what the area has to offer. It would be a shame to be in Pokhara and not visit the world peace pagoda, so we'll head up there in the morning and have lunch near the top. Take in the beautiful views or head back to the lakeside for a cocktail!
Day 8 - Kaligandaki.
The holy river. Putting on near the town on Beni, we'll spend 3 days in this beautiful valley. The Kaligandaki is one of our favourite rivers and we're very excited to share it with you!
Further coaching along the way will help you to progress in your kayaking and be able to tackle anything the river throws at us. We'll have beautiful beach camps along the way and plenty of time to soak it all in.
Day 9 - Kaligandaki.
Day 10 - Kaligandaki.
We'll take out and head back to Pokhara today. Our journey back is a great time to reflect on everything we covered over the last few days.
We'll head to a mountain resort at the top of Sarangkot to spend the night, gorge ourselves on BBQ food and sample the world famous thirsty camel cocktails!
Breathtaking views of the Annapurna range await, and might even be enough to tempt you up for a sunrise photo session!
Day 11 - Pokhara/Upper Seti paddle day
We'll have another chance to explore Pokhara today. The long walk down to lakeside from Sangrakot provides those who wish to stretch their legs a chance for yet more great views. It's possible to arrange a paragliding trip for this day (at your expense) but please let us know well in advance. Maybe hire a fishing rod and boat and relax on the lake, or even hire a SUP board!
There will be an opportunity to paddle whitewater on the Upper Seti this afternoon depending on energy and ability levels.
Day 12 - Trisuli.
One of the most iconic and popular rivers in the region, it makes sense for us to have it on our list! Today will be a chance to play on the awesome waves and put into further practice the skills we've learnt.
We'll be transferring back to Kathmandu after our time on the river.
Day 13 - Packing day & optional cookery course.
A chance to explore more of Kathmandu and an option to join us on a Nepali cooking course! This course is run with our friends at "Social Tours". Today will also give you the time to sort your kit before departure tomorrow.
We'll say our formal goodbyes tonight, with a chance to share any photos and video throughout the week and also to receive personalised action plans for your kayaking in the future.
If you wish we can show you some of the nightlife and live music of Thamel.
Day 14 - Depart.
Time for us to say goodbye, but we hope, not for long!
We'll make sure you get to the airport in time for your check in.
